Tomb Raider:
Raiding for pleasure

For few it was just an game, but for me it was an life changin experience. After taking the first bite of adventuring I got addicted to it. Why? Because no other game has ever delivered the same experience.

Exploration, adventure and action. Each of those three blended together create the perfect adventuring experience, Tomb Raider. My very first experience of such great game was back in 98, when I played the Tomb Raider III demo after reading good reviews about the game. I just didn't fell in love with the tomb raiding vixen Lara Croft, but with the atmosphere and feeling of Isolation. The game left me a mark that can't be easily described in words. From then I've been intrested in archeology, adventuring and ancient history. Most of those interest that Tomb Raider got me in to have helped alot in school and have made me more athletic. Swimming and diving for an example are more important to me now than before Tomb Raider. The silliest impact propably was that I started to imitate Lara Croft in differend ways. Grunted like her, talked like her, jumped like her and copyed every other move she could do, including swan dives.

Tomb Raider was perhaps the first game ever for me to deliver such intense feeling of isolation with the great combination of adventuring, exploring and action. The beautifull locations, dark unexplored rooms and lush valleys with their hidden secrets and undead soldiers, created an athmosphere that wouldn't be forgotten by generations. Still the very first game atracts casual gamers to bite the forbidden fruit of tomb raiding.
