[Bikini Bloodbath]
Plot:Bikini Bloodbath is the story of Jenny who on her last day of high school decides to have a slumber party to celebrate her friends going away to college. Across town, a maniacal chef goes on a killing spree. Their gym coach (Debbie Rochon) attempts to the rescue of the bikini clad group, but when Chef Death (Robert Cosgrove) shows up at the party, hilarity ensues and the blood bath begins.

Cast:Debbie Rochon, Thomas Edward Seymour, Russ Russo, Leah Ford, Margaret Rose Champagne, Carmine Capobianco, Robert Cosgrove Jr., Dana Fay Ensalata, Anna-Karin Eskilsson, Olja Hrustic, Matt Ford, Sheri Lynn, Natasha Nielsen, Phil Hall, Philip Guerette.

My Thoughts:Awful.

Review:Sometimes, movies like "Bikini Bloodbath" can be cute, charming, and likeable. Similar to films like "Satan's Little Helper", with the right blend of black humor and a good story to make things work. However, in the case of "Bikini Bloodbath" it failed to be any of those things, despite it's desparate attempts. The film follows a girl named Jenny who invites all of her friends over from her volleyball team to have a pre-college party. As per usual, when there's a gathering of good looking women in a horror film, some wacko always shows up looking to slice and dice them up. Which is where the films villain Chef Death comes in.

"Bikini Bloodbath" is a perfect example of what happens when a good premise meets bad casting, and a poorly executed story. This movie could've been a silly slasher like "Slumber Party Massacre", a film that doesn't take itself too seriously, yet still manages to deliver the necessary blood and gore to be entertaining. But instead, it fails at everything it attempts. The villain doesn't even have a proper backstory, or any traces of one. ALl we get is some weird guy stalking around town killing people off dressed as a chef.

Nothing is revealed about Chef Death's past or why he's apparently turned to butchering teens as his new hobby. We're just encouraged to "go with it". And why do you ask do the writers stiff us out of a backstory for the killer? Well mostly to show scenes of scantily cld women dancing, drinking, and hanging out in the jacuzzi. And scenes of jocks saying "fuck yeah" a billion times as they high five each other for no apparent reason. What a waste.

Add to that the films crude sexual humor is just forced and not really part of the story nor is it necessary. I am a very liberal guy, but when crude sexual humor is forced into a film just for crude sexual humor sake...it just comes out looking pathetic. There's also alot of homoerotic humor in the movie to put the icing on the crappy cake that is "Bikini Bloodbath". Because you know, no lame horror-com is complete without unecessary homoerotic overtones. The only bright spot to this movie is Debbie Rochon who makes an appearance in the movie as the coach of the volleyball team, and after "Mulberry Street", and "Bikini Bloodbath"...I still continue to wonder how she finds her way into these horrible horror films. The films soundtrack contains some likeable rock music which I assume was where all the creativity went into instead of the actual film.

But there really is not much of a silver lining for "Bikini Bloodbath", which gives a futile attempt at being a modern day "Slumber Party Massacre". When a films characters decide to dance and drink and stop for a taco late in the third act after the killer has just revealed himself to them, and just killed one of their friends...you know it's a stinker.

Positives:Debbie Rochon's cameo as volleyball coach. Some of the soundtrack music is likeable.

Negatives:Poor executed story, bad script, terrible acting, horrible attempts at gross out humor.

Overall:Garbage.
