Bousman Talks "Mother's Day" Scouting

Location scouting has begun, and
Mother's Day redux director Darren Lynn Bousman (pictured) recently tweeted about those developments -- regarding the forthcoming remake of the Troma 80's slasher which he'll be directing, and is expected to hit cinemas next May. Bousman writes..."Ok location scouting was cool! for a minute! now on hour six! five more to go." That was followed by a tweet the following day which read..."Up early to start location scouting ... FIRST UP - we are going to go scout a $%$#^#$&> Wait, I can't give you a spoiler THIS early!" I don't know about you guys, but this is one remake I'm actually looking forward to. Especially because it makes sense. It's not a slasher movie as well-known as a "Halloween" or "Friday the 13th", it had flaws, and it's from the 80's. Even though I'm no remake-head...this one makes sense. And that's something sadly, that I've not been able to say as of late regarding many of the remakes I've heard about. |
The original "Mother's Day" followed three girls who discover that two men are willing to do anything to impress Mother. And what impresses Mother is watching her sons commit acts of rape and murder. Now these women are prisoners and lowered to pawns in the game of checkers between two dim wits and their Maniac Mommy and the question becomes, can any of them escape, alive.
