EXCLUSIVE:"She's Crushed", "Butchered", & "Red Hook" In February!
We learned this morning that three indie horror films will be hitting home disc come February. The first being Charles Stewart's slasher pic
Butchered, which will hit on February 9th from Eleven Bravo Productions, Elizabeth Lucases slasher pic
Red Hook, which will arrive on disc February 16th from Phase 4 Films, and Patrick Johnson's slasher/revenge tale
She's Crushed, which will hit DVD on February 16th, also from Phase 4 Films. DVD art for "Butchered" and "She's Crushed" is pictured below, and you can check out the DVD art for "Red Hook" below that. "Red Hook" stars Christina Brucato, Terrence Mann, Bryan Fenkart, and Hollis Scarborough.
In the film, ten years after witnessing her older sister's brutal murder, Jenny Traylor (Christina Brucato) leaves her hometown in North Carolina to start her freshman year at the University of New York City. Still traumatized by her sister's death and struggling with crippling agoraphobia, Jenny tries to cope with the overwhelming city and figure out her new life, all while under the secret watch of Lt. Fox (Terrence Mann) - the police officer who shot her sister's assailant. When Tim (Bryan Fenkart), Jenny's over-enthusiastic Resident Advisor, organizes a Welcome Week scavenger hunt, Jenny is reluctantly persuaded to join the game, along with her theatrical roommate, Angela (Hollis Scarborough), the sultry Deena (Frankie Shaw), and sweetheart Gavin (Tate Ellington), who is dealing with his own troubled past.

But as Jenny and her new friends decipher the cryptic clues being texted to their cell phones - clues that lead them on a tangled path through darker and increasingly remote parts of the city - it becomes terrifyingly clear that the stakes are much higher than the White Stripes concert tickets they were trying to win. "She's Crushed" meanwhile stars Natalie Dickinson, Henrik Norlen, Robert Paschall Jr., Caitlin Wehrle, Keith Malley, and Hunter Carson. In the movie...love can be painful. Very painful. Their innocent flirting turns into a regretful one night stand which he hopes to put behind him. Tara has different plans for their relationship. It becomes horrifically apparent that she refuses to be cast aside and is willing to go to sick extremes to keep her man as people in Ray's life are met with torturous ends. Amidst this violently twisted love story unfolds a profound social commentary on love and the effects of violence. Lastly, "Butchered" stars Cari Moskow, Tim Woodward Jr., Brandon Luck, Carol Anne Watts, Greg Frucci, D.J. Naylor, and Cory Broadwater.
The pic follows a group of teens who take a small charter boat to an isolated island for one last party and to say their goodbyes before college. They have no idea that a convicted serial killer has escaped from the Maximum Security Prisons Death Row, taking cover on the very same island. With no working cell phones, no weapons and no way off the island, they must fight to survive as the Butcher picks them off one by one.
