Dimension Films loses "Locke and Key"

Dimension Films has reportedly lost the feature film rights to the Joe Hill graphic novel Locke and Key, according to Latino Review. So who's gotten the rights? Well producers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci have, and they plan to turn "Locke and Key" into the next big franchise over at Dreamworks, where the two have just secured a new deal. "Locke and Key" involves a trio of children who become the caretakers of Keyhouse, a mansion in New England that is full of secrets and magic. The kids discover doors that take them to different places, give them powers and even alter gender and skin color. Behind one door however, is a dangerously violent creature.
