"Mad Men" writer/producer Marti Nixon, has been tapped to pen the upcoming remake of the classic vampire pic
Fright Night, this according to THR. Dreamworks is behind the project which is being produced by Michael De Luca, Michael Gaeta, and Alison Rosenzweig, with Mark Sourian acting as executive producer and overseeing the project for the studio. The new version is expected to keep the horror-comedy overtones, while using superior effects. Originally released in 1985, "Fright Night" followed a teen who tries to warn people in his smalltown of an invasion of vampires when he discovers his new neighbors are vamps. However, his warnings are not taken seriously. |
