We were dropped a line this afternoon from "The Bay" (Anchor Bay), that they'll be releasing the Rachael Taylor starrer
Ghost Machine, to DVD on December 22nd. Extras for the disc are set to include..."The Making of Ghost Machine" featurette, Interview with Writer Sven Hughes, and the Theatrical Trailer." The DVD will be presented in Anamorphic Widescreen (1.85:1) transfer, and will be priced at 27 bucks. "Ghost Machine" also stars Sean Faris, Luke Ford, Joshua Dallas, Halla Vilhjálmsdóttir, Sam Corry, Richard Dormer, and Jonathan Harden. In the film, a group of young U.S. military techs borrow a top-secret combat simulator for a weekend of unauthorized gaming. Alcohol, spliffs (a cigarette of multiple types of leaves) and virtual pornstars get the evening off to a cracking start. They set up the system inside an abandoned prison used for the torture of post-9/11 prisoners and discover that someone - or something - has uploaded itself into their A.I. software. A deadly new player has now joined the game: How do you survive the final level of lock-and-load virtual reality when escape is impossible, slaughter is uncontrollable and the enemy is unstoppable?
