An intriguing update on a recent story which we reported on. After it came out that Warner Brothers was moving forward with a new "Gremlins" film in 3D, now comes word through io9 that "Gremlins" scribe Chris Columbus knows nothing of the project, and neither does Steven Spielberg, who directed the first movie. "A few days ago, I saw Steve Spielberg, and I asked him the question you just asked me," Columbus told them. "...because I was reading something on the Internet and he said, "Nobody's talked to me about it either." So maybe it's going on behind our backs?" So just what is the deal here? Will we see a new "Gremlins" film in 3D or not? Whatever happens, I'm fine with it so long as it's not a remake. |
