Green Updates "Hatchet 2"

After some new artwork came out recently for the forthcoming sequel to "Hatchet",
Hatchet 2, now comes word that Adam Green will indeed be returning to helm the sequel. BD first learned the news, and Green is reportedly returning because Anchor Bay is giving him the utmost creative freedom with the sequel. In other older "Hatchet 2" news, Kane Hodder is set to return as Victor Crowley/Mr. Crowley, Tony Todd will return as Reverend Zombie, and John Carl Buechler is back as Jack Cracker. As far as new cast additions are concerned, R.A. Mihailoff is the first new name to join the cast of the sequel. |
Tamara Feldman however will not be back as Marybeth. But Green promises an announcement on that very soon. "We're going in a different direction and will announce our new hero very soon as it's someone we are overjoyed to bring into our family," he reveals. On a minor note, Will Barratt and "Hatchet" producers Sarah Elbert and Cory Neal are back as well, and Green promises this films body count will be double the body count of the original. "Hatchet 2" will follow Marybeth as she escapes from the clutches of Victor Crowley, learns the truth about his curse, and heads back into the haunted New Orleans swamp to seek revenge for her family and kill Victor Crowley once and for all.
