We were informed this morning that actor Mike Powers has joined the cast of John Regan's upcoming self-described contemporary-set reimagining of the Robin Hood legend,
Sherwood Horror. Powers joins DJ Perry, and Taymour Ghazi in the film, which is due out next year. Powers will play Will, the highly impulsive younger brother of the films hero ex-con Rob Locksley (Perry), who is the frontman for a local punk band called "Scarlet Fever". Will is also described as being quick-witted, and deadly with a dagger. Regarding the casting of Powers, Regan says..."After screentesting different actors, it became apparent that Mike had the versatility and traits needed to bring Will Scarlet to life." Pictured meanwhile is some concept art which we were given of Powers character, Will. In "Sherwood Horror"...an ex-con returns home after a six-year absence to find his town under the rule of vampires. He must join forces with his old roughneck hunting buddies to wage war against the evil Sheriff Nottingham and his horde of blood-sucking minions. |
