Shooting has officially wrapped on Sony Screen Gems upcoming post-apocalyptic vampire pic
Priest. Recently, the films director Scott Stewart recently tweeted the following..."Principal photography on Priest is complete! Best crew I've ever worked with. A bittersweet day." He then followed that up with another tweet yesterday, proclaiming..."Recovering from the Priest wrap party at Dodger Stadium last night. So much fun. Speeches from home plate. Sizzle reel on the jumbotron!" Looking forward to "Priest" myself, as I believe it'll be one of 2010's more exciting genre releases. "Priest" stars Alan Dale, Brad Dourif, Christopher Plummer, Madchen Amick, Cam Gigandet, Paul Bettany, Maggie Q, Stephen Moyer, Karl Urban, and Lily Collins. |
The film, which hits cinemas August 13th 2010, is based on the Tokyo Pop comic, and is set to the backdrop of a post-apocalyptic wasteland. "Priest" follows a priest (Bettany) who turns against the church and teams with a warrior priestess (Q), and a sheriff (Gigandet), before setting out on a quest of his own, which involves rescuing his kidnapped niece from a band of vicious vampires, led by the villainous Black Hat (Urban).
