Twisted Pictures Preps "Sorrow"

Twisted Pictures is currently moving forward with a film adaptation of Image Comics horror comic Sorrow, according to STYD. Michael Hidalgo is penning the script, while Mark Burg, Oren Koules, Erick Salomon, Chris Ridenhour, and Andrew Wilson will all act as Producers on the pic. Rick Remender, Seth Peck, and Francesco Francavilla came up with the idea for "Sorrow", and on the subject of the new project, Hidalgo told STYD..."Rick, Seth, and Francesco have created a throwback to '70s and '80s horror/thriller films with the perfect mix of terror and memorable characters. The idea is to make a great film that resonates with fans of the genre." Boasting a premise similar to that of "The Hills Have Eyes"..."Sorrow"s story begins in 1952, where the U.S. Government's nuclear testing killed all of the good people of Sorrow, Nevada. Today, the sign in front of the town reads "population zero". The locals, however, will tell you a very different story. When a car accident strands four young travelers in this desolate ghost town, they soon find that not all that is buried is dead. Look for "Sorrow" to hit cinemas in 2011!
