Indie filmmaker Deon Taylor has reportedly launched a new movie label called Nite Tales Presents, this according to Screendaily. First two features to be let out of the bag from the new label will be the 2-part horror/anthology Dark Christmas, and another horror flick mentioned last year called Terminated, both to be helmed by Taylor. The company will also expand into television, animated kids content, and branded online platforms. Taylor will also produce many of the films to come out of NTP, and will collaborate with scribe talents such as Thomas Fenton (Saw 4). Flavor Flav, who hosted the "Nite Tales" movie, has already signed on to be the on-screen face of NTP's future productions. |
Former Sacramento Kings players Mitch Richmond and Bobby Jackson, as well as NFL player Ephraim Salaam have been financially tagged as executive producers for upcoming NTP films. "There is a substantial market for original, high quality, urban-themed horror content and Nite Tales Presents is a label created to provide just that," Taylor stated regarding the birth of NTP. Taylor's slasher pic Chain Letter, about teens who are stalked by a vicious killer -- when they fail to forward a sinister-looking piece of chain mail...is currently with Lionsgate, and has yet to be released.
