One of this year's Claw Award winners was Richard Dutcher's "Evil Angel", a steamy and heart-pounding story based on the ancient myth of Lilith, the first wife of Adam. Other winners included Jon Binkowski's horror/comedy "Scare Zone", Mike Turner's "Dead Creek", Joseph J. Greenberg's "Down River", and Alec Asten's short film "The Curse Of Micah Road". John Savage meanwhile won the Claw Award for best supporting actor for his role in the noirish film "From A Place Of Darkness". |
"The Institute Of Seance", won the Claw Award for Best Short Horror Film. Kevin Corcoran's film pays pure tribute to the silent film era, raising the art form of film editing to a whole new level. Alan Rowe Kelly won the Claw Award for best actor, and Benzy, Michael T. Schneider, and Anthony G. Sumner won for Best Special Effects for their work in "A Far Cry From Home". Lastly, Alex Raskin's thriller short "Let Me Go", won for Best Thriller Short Film, and the Best Sound Design award went to Haynze Whitmore for his work on "Wade", a nostalgic salute to sci-fi/horror films of the 60's.
