So when we last left "True Blood"...Tara had a car accident, Sookie had survived a kitchen encounter with the mysterious killer, Bill had a choice to make in order to redeem himself for killing one of his own kind, and Amy had killed the vampire that her and Jason had kidnapped to get their "V" fix. Episode 11..."To Love Is To Bury" has the storylines building up to a major boil for the season finale coming next Sunday. Sookie and Sam have seemingly gotten their relationship back on even footing after Sookie discovered Sam's secret in the last episode, which was that he was a shapeshifter. Sam was also asked by a reluctant Bill to watch over Sookie while he was gone trying to defend himself at a vampire court for the murder of a vampire in Sookie's defense. |
Sookie however has a clue rattling around in her head after the encounter with the killer which she survived earlier. It seems that during the encounter, she got a flash of a previous victim of the killer. So after some memory jogging tactics, she and Sam set out to trace the trail of the killers latest female victim, and to see if it leads them to the identity of the killer. Tara meanwhile has to deal with the repercussions of her car accident. While she was diverted off the road by a strange woman with a pig, the officer who arrives on the scene busts her for the bottle of alcohol in her car. And so of course the story of the woman on the road doesn't fly, and Tara is taken into custody for DUI.
She's pretty much left to rot in prison the entire episode until her mom shows up. Tara thinks Lettie Mae is there to bail her out, but instead Lettie Mae is actually there to cut Tara loose, telling her that her inner-demons are bad for her household and therefore Tara is no longer allowed to come home. Tara blows up at her mom before her mother leaves, but this will lead to a very intriguing turn of events later on in the episode involving a mysterious social worker who shows up to bail Tara out of prison. The woman offers to help Tara with her problems, and even offers her a place to stay. The woman is obviously a person of means, as it's shown she drives a pretty expensive-looking car and lives in a mansion of sorts. Although it's not revealed who...or what, she possibly is.

Jason and Amy's relationship meanwhile seems to have come to a conclusion after the murder of the vampire via a staking by Amy. The whole "V" fiasco which went from a simple kidnapping, to a hostage situation, and eventually evolved into a murder...has taken it's toll on Jason and he blows up at Amy as the two clean up the mess left by the dead vampire. However...later on in the episode, Jason returns home to find Amy waiting for him. She accepts his ultimatum of swaring off "V", and the two of them starting a new "V" free life. But Amy manages to convince Jason to do one more hit of "V" with her, and take one more V-induced "journey" with her. He agrees, but his decision turns out to be a fatal mistake later on as the "V" trip leaves Amy exposed to a familiar predator who strikes quickly, and leaves Jason in a familiar position, with blood on his hands when the "V" wears off later on.

Bill's problems continue as he's charged to deal with the young woman he had to turn in order to appease the vampire court. She refuses to listen to Bill once her transformation into a vampire is complete, and she rises from the dirt. So Bill leaves her with Eric while he goes to return to Sookie. Bill however gets a big surprise when he arrives at Sookie's place, and a confrontation occurs between Bill and Sam which leads to Sookie taking drastic measures against Bill and blowing up at Sam.
Elsewhere...Lafayette meanwhile visits the senator who he's been having a tryst with, only after the senator gets on tv and pulls the hypocrisy card by exscoliating gays, vampires, and others. This angers Lafayette who visits the senator to let him know that he has the goods on him and will decide to use it to expose him if need be. But the conclusion of the episode concerns Jason being brought in for murder once again, just as a fax comes across the police station fax machine with a picture of the "real killer". It looks like some major tricks will have to be pulled out of the proverbial bag of tricks in order for Sookie to becoming the killers next victim in the season finale.
