New Title For House's "Walking Distance"

Mel House's upcoming horror/thriller "Walking Distance" has now officially been retitled to Experimental Activity, this according to THR. This change was apparently made since the film stars Katie Featherston, of "Paranormal Activity" fame. So consider this an attempt to capitalize on that films success. "Experimental" will also star genre veterans Adrienne King (Friday the 13th), Debbie Rochon (American Nightmare), and Reggie Bannister (Phantasm). Kathy Lamkin, Shannon Lark, Glenn Morshower. "Clearly having the fastest-rising star in the business is a feather in the cap, but we feel the film stands on its own as a cool psychological thriller," said Showcase Entertainment President David Jackson. Showcase Entertainment currently holds international distro. rights to the movie, which is set in an idyllic, small, self-sufficient community. |
On the surface, it seems like the perfect neighborhood. Everything you could possibly need is within Walking Distance. But...the pastoral exterior conceals a dark past and an even darker secret. As a group of individuals - each with their own ties and agendas with the town and each other - converges on the enclave, strange things begin to happen. Very strange things. Strange enough to test (and then break) the very fabric of reality itself. Everyone wants a homecoming, but in this case you really can't ever go home again. No matter how hard you try, you can't escape your past, and you can't outrun yourself. Both are always within Walking Distance.
