Whannell To Join Wan On "Insidious"

"Saw" creators James Wan and Leigh Whannell are reportedly coming together once more for a new genre pic called Insidious, this according to Variety. "Insidious", formerly known as "The Further"...follows a young family who make the terrifying discovery that the body of their comatose boy, has become a magnet for malevolent entities -- while his consciousness lies trapped in the dark, and insidious realm known as "The Further." |
Whannell will pen the script, and Jason Blum and Oren Peli (Paranormal Activity)...alongside Steven Schneider -- will produce the movie. James Wan meanwhile, will direct. 'Paranormal' taught us to do more with less, and this fund embodies that model. We are particularly thrilled to kick off the fund with James and Leigh," Blum told Variety. Look for "Insidious" in cinemas in 2011.
