As the virus begins to spread, turning the strippers into "Super Zombie Strippers" the girls struggle with whether or not to conform to the new "fad" even if it means there's no turning back.

My Thoughts:Well.....atleast some of the women were hot?

Review:"Zombie Strippers" is a film that plays into it's name quite well. The film follows a zombie outbreka in a mad mad world, where president Bush is serving in his fourth term as president...and has pretty much done to the world what one would've expected him to do if he were up for another term in office. Thanks to all of that, a zombie outbreak has occured...and is rapidly spreading. With ground zero of the outbreak being the small town of Sarte Nebraska. When one of the zombies finds it's way underground, and infects a stripper at an illegal establishment, run by Ian (Robert Englund), life at the establishment soon becomes a battle for life and death, and pits stripper against stripper as the undead dancers soon give the live ones a run for their money...and their lives.

Right at the start of "Zombie Strippers"...you can pretty much tell what kind of film it's gonna be. The movie blends black humor, blood, and gore...with satire, political humor, and social commentary. The problem is, once you get past it's kind of hot female cast, and the always brilliant performance of one Robert Englund...it's more of a "been there done that" sort of horror/satire film. The movie doesn't do anything new, or anything that we haven't seen or heard before. It lays down commentary on the Iraq war, individualism, and sheeple...but this is really stuff that in these politically polarizing times, that a few films horror and non-horror have done way before "ZS" has, and much better might I add.

Although it's slightly more light-hearted, and a little more clever way of laying out the satire can be appreciated...it still feels stale and old in the long run and in the broader scheme of things. It's really better to just view this movie as a zombie film that avoids doing business the same way many recent zombie movies have. It doesn't try to be in the vein of a Romero movie, but instead does it's own thing with a more in-your-face, and unapologetic style. The movie pulls no punches when it comes to dialogue, nor does it leave anything left in the bag when it comes to blood and gore. This is a very gory zombie movie, and there's lots of the stuff flying in every scene pretty much.

There's also some religious commentary blended in with the more political commentary, and to be honest...the religious commentary I found alot more clever than the other types of commentary the film had to offer. The zombies are very good looking also (in a bad way), and would give any of the walking dead seen in a Romero movie a run for their money looks wise. One thing about 2008...it has been a great year for zombie make-up FX....but not such a great year for zombie movies. The films plot however weighs it down and really ends up being it's greatest weakness.

When the commentary, and few great comedic moments go away, or aren't in play at the time....the movie is left with nothing but female bickering, and dialogue which leans more towards insults and profanity instead of anything worthwhile. I think some parts of the films script should really have been tightened up, especially during the moments when the films strengths via commentary, or certain actors weren't around. Jenna Jameson gives an interesting performance in the pic as the fundamentalist christian stripper (gotta love the irony), of the bunch, and is really the only actress to give a noteworthy performance in the film beyond a few scenes by Jeannette Sousa as Berenge, another stripper.

Jameson certainly does have a future in acting from my point of view, but I am not really sure what will happen when she steps out of this element, an element which I'm sure she is more comfortable in...horror, and of course, the whole stripper part of the equation...considering she's an ex-playboyer. "Zombie Strippers" wraps up in a somewhat amusing, yet anti-climactic, and sort of cliche type of fashion, and while some people will be able to appreciate the ending for it's simplicity, and humor....I found it pretty lame myself. "Zombie Strippers" would be a love it or hate it sort of horror film for msot horror fans, except for a select few. Me? I didn't love the movie, but I didn't hate it either. I'd say my opinion ranged more towards slightly amusing at times...keeping in the spirit and tradition of the zombie movie, but trying a few things which did not work very well.

Positives:Jameson gives a good performance, blood and gore were at top notch, some of the humor worked, and a few good looking women to go along with Robert Englund's good performance.

Negatives:Alot of the humor didn't work, while some was overdone. The plot was not very strong, too many cliches as well.

Overall:A good try but quite marred by many flaws.
