My Thoughts:The Creepshow is officially "ova".

Review:Yeah, it's official. After "Creepshow 3"...the series is offically over. Done, finito. Or atleast it should be. "Creepshow 3" comes from two new directors and writers. Romero and King are totally not involved with this one, and after seeing "Creepshow 3", I can attest that they made the right decision. "Creepshow 3" follows five new supposedly creepy tales or murder, madness, and mayhem. Unfortunately, what I got out of this hour and 40 minute disaster was anything but. So where exactly do the problems with this flick lie? Well it certainly isn't the ideas, well....maybe except for that last story about a Haunted Hotdog (no I am not kidding). But the first four tales, "Rachael The Call Girl", "Alice", "Professor Dayton's wife", and "The Radio" are all great ideas in their own right.

A female serial killer who crosses paths with a vampire, a girl who gets her life turned upside down by a reality altering remote control, a mad professor who orders a "bride", and a radio which leads it's listeners astray in the worst ways. But the proper creative minds, finances, and acting talent simply were not put behind any of them. The stories themselves are also quite short, and really only scratch the surface of their overall potential. The acting is another issues here, as the performances are all turned in by mostly no namers and although there is some serious eye candy in some of the stories, "Rachael The Call Girl" in particular...there still needs to be atleast a little actual talent behind all of that.

Of all the performances in the film, I'd say Emmett Mcguire as Professor Dayton and Stephanie Pettee as Alice were the only exceptions to the poor performances turned in by most of the cast. But what hurt this film more than anything was the low budget. You could tell from the get go that the money put forth behind "Creepshow" and "Creepshow 2" was not present in being put behind "Creepshow 3". Alot of what they tried to do was just to constrained by the low budget that at times alot of the creature effects looked simply ridiculous. As far as the stories themselves go I'd rate "Rachael The Call Girl" as the best one with "The Haunted Dog" being the worst of them all.

Like I said, there was a whole lot that could've been done with this movie in terms of story, twists, fx, etc....but it just was put together by the wrong people. "Creepshow 3" is most definitely the most disappointing "Creepshow" series installment....so far atleast, since I hear that a "Creepshow 4" is in the works. Why? I'll never know, but apparently the third film dvd went flying off of store shelves once it was released awhile ago. Maybe they should check into how many people requested refunds before moving ahead with a part four. You know, just to be sure they're actually onto something here.

Positives:Great ideas for stories, except for "The Haunted Dog".

Negatives:Lackluster performances by most of the cast. The low budget really restrained the movie in many areas. The stories were way too short and never went as deep as they could go.

Overall:Very disappointing, even for a direct to dvd sequel.
