Biodiversity provides us with many things, including food.
The Capacity Building for Biodiversity in Impact Assessment (CBBIA) project is a three-year global project managed by the International Association for Impact Assessment (IAIA) and funded by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The aim of the project is to strengthen EIA and SEA as tools to ensure that biodiversity, and its role in providing ecosystem services, alleviating poverty and meeting the Millennium Development Goals is recognised as a fundamental issue in the planning, assessment and execution of projects and plans in developing countries.
The project also operates a small grant scheme to support capacity building efforts at grass-roots level in countries outside these focal regions.
