Can-ar Coach
is a division of Tokmajian Inc. It has existed for more than 30 years. The name,
Can-ar Coach was adopted in 1983 by the current Can-ar Coach owner and
president, Cy Tokmakjian. Can-ar Coach provides charter services to Casino Rama,
Pearson Airport, Toronto, southern Ontario, and operates public transit service
on behalf of York Region. Can-ar Coach also provides charter service to domestic
tour companies. 40 percent of their revenue comes from chartering their coaches
to domestic tour companies. Currently, Can-ar Coach employs 350 people (ranging
from mechanics to bus drivers).
In 2006, Can-ar Coach introduced a new livery. Only a small number of
their coaches received the new livery.
Can-ar Coach's official website is far from accurate. So it is not known
which motor coaches have been retired. In 2007, Can-ar coach acquired X number
of J4500. Currently, Can-ar Coach still operates MCI As, Dina Viaggios, MCI Ds
MCI 102EL-3s and MCI J4500s. Can-ar Coach operates over 33 coaches. The coaches
have various interior configuration in order to accomodate its customers' needs.
Can-ar Coach has maintained the public transit fleet for the
City of Vaughn since 1985. It continues to maintain the public transit fleet
after the amalgamation of the York Region Transit.
