Thank you for your interest in becoming a Republican Delegate from Utah.
Registered Republicans wishing to become delegates from Utah to the 2008
RNC National Convention must file a declaration of candidacy. The
filing period will open after the 2008 Neighborhood Caucus meetings held
on March 25th, 2008. Declarations of candidacy will not be accepted
prior to the filing period.
Candidates must be prepared to travel to Minneapolis, Minnesota
at their own expense, and be prepared to attend the entire convention,
September 1-4, 2008. The Utah Republican Party will not provide
re-imbursement for travel, lodging, meals, or incidental expenses.
Delegates must be able to participate at all meetings during the
convention.
Candidates must choose to run as Delegates, or Alternate
Delegates. Candidates may not run for both positions. The RNC
determines how many Delegates and Alternate Delegates may be elected
from Utah. Elections will be held during the 2008 Utah Republican
Nominative Convention. The date for this convention has not yet been
fixed.
