Become
a Delegate in Washington
In
order to be a delegate to the national convention, the only
thing you HAVE to do is inform the state party that you would like
your name on the ballot at the state convention (where the delegates
are elected). However, the most common route starts by informing
your county party that you would like to be a delegate to the
state convention. They will have a form that you will need to
fill out expressing your desire to be a delegate. Most people then
attend their county convention and get themselves elected to the
state convention. Some people will start the process by
attending their precinct caucus and getting themselves elected as a
delegate to their county convention. Either way, you'll want to be in
contact with your county party.
Our national convention delegates will be selected at our state convention next June.
