A tribute to Axis of Evil!

Axis of Evil was the dream chlid of 'BIG' Jon Elraiz- the idea was a heavy metal band utopia, where the ethics of sex, drugs and rock n roll ruled supreme. To have a metal band free of the corporate bullshit of genre tags this core or that core - just a heavy metal band. To have a musically able band of musical outlaws who wanted to get back to the roots and the mayhem of true rock n roll. He wanted to have a band where all were equal and each had a responsibility and above all just wanted to get out on the road and play heavy music and have a great time, whilst still sending a message through the songs, commenting on the breakdowns of society.
So in 2003 Axis of Evil was born! They were featured on Channel5's Britains Worst Neighbour, followed by a BBC primetime TV programme called you be the judge, after they smashed up a London venue for not being paid. Within months the band was featured in the Daily Sport newspaper, posing with topless models and had won themselves the title of 'BRITAINS LOUDEST BAND' not because of their volume but their bad boy attitude. AOE were also the first band to make a public stand against EMO and their riotous shows up and down the UK became the stuff of legends.

AOE went on to win the 'Best unsigned band' award in the Terrorizer magazine readers poll and later won the honour of playing the BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR festival in Derbyshire. This is a brief biography about a great band who did so much, a lot more happened, A lot more parties were had - unfortunately after a while a change was needed. Regretably the utopia wasn't to be at this stage, the band dogged with members who were, lazy and egotistical, Big Jon and fellow main feature and songwriter of AOE Johnny Xed decided that situations were evolving, so it was necessary to make some changes-those changes have now been made - AXIS OF EVIL was just the beginning, a 'dry run' if you like. That spirit of AOE is still alive, that passion and mayhem has forged a new being. So keep alert for the new assault, the embers of the revolution still glow, do not rest!
