And I am a writer.
Anderoth's Dragon was my first book and far from my last. I have several more waiting to come to life but with a couple of day jobs on the go, I have to commit to working on two at a time. 'How do I do it?' you might ask, 'I can't find time to work on one.' you might say.
Simple really. I don't go looking for time, I want to write bad enough that I find time. I find my best writing is my lunch hour at work. A whole hour of focus when I can pump out 1000 - 1500 words or more. That's good progress. Factor in weekends or evenings when the family is watching a show, I'm curled up in the corner of the couch with my binder in hand - I find the time.
To me, this is what it means to be a writer - you write. Like any craftsperson you dedicate yourself to your craft and you work at it, this is how you get better. Someday I'd to do nothing but spend my days writing. I don't need to be the next Rowling or Tolkien, I just want to support my family so I can keep writing.
The two books I'm working on right now are "Terth Willager, Age of Mythology" and "The Theonis Trio". I'll have more info on them later but for now I'll tell you that Terth Willager is going to be an ongoing series while The Theonis Trio is a trilogy centering around three main characters, a druid, a wolf and a dragon. Very interesting stuff! I switch between chapters, that's how I do two at once, if you were wondering. When I get more done and edited I'll post some pages for a sneak preview...
TTFN...
Perception - I am a living document. I see myself as a great adventure story without a kicker ending....
